Was testing ogun and poizone as a whole, yes the whole track was made with these 2, melody Poi and the percussion with ogun(cymbals). The 808 bass is a preset through distructors distortion(the one starting with an A). THE lead was made with sytrus. Sorry its long

I feel like some of your notes are off key. If it's true then try to fix that (I don't have headphones rn). Also there are some little frequencies that need to be removed, so try to do that with for example peq2

Ok I'ma tell you few things but keep in mind that I'm using phone speakers and I might be wrong

Did you cut off the low end? Again maybe it's me but it kinda sounds like there's some of it in the melody. Also try to make your drums little louder because I can barely hear them over the melody.

Is there a limiter on the mixer?

Not yet lol, I might have EQed the bass out abit 2 much, Distructor actually gets insane

Melodies and synths are great, ik that this is the beat where you want bass to sound this hard and dirty, but i think that distortion a little too much or volume too high, it's just sits everywhere so drums get "squashy" or yk it just struggles.
Also i feel like bass is out of key, it really can happen when you distort it too much (you know because distortion creates new harmonics). I really like the beat tho you cooked on that

Nah it's good actually i took it 900 cents higher and bass sound in key, and also it really simple to over distort the bass so you cool
I really like the percs and i think you should try to add some zaps too

Melody is nice man. In terms of mixing I'm by no means pro at it either, but I can say from listening and looking at the spectral that the drums don't really punch through. I feel like for this type of track I'd like that kick to really hit around 3-5k, maybe even side chain to allow the kick to punch through a bit, or just give it more room to hit. Also feels like the high ends (hats and rides and cymbals) are really taking over this mix, I can barely hear the melody once it gets going.

Oh boy, I know how you feel. I did the same for a while, but it is so essential to audio. Some genres need it way less than others, but this type of genre you really need it lol
