Why is my insert making a screeching noise in the tracks when I try to record

try disabling audio enhancments in windows, try setting your sample rate on your microphone to match fl studio's

windows by default will sometimes enable a setting called "audio enhancements" which, i'm not sure 100% what it does but since we're working with professional audio standards it's best to keep this off so you have an accurate idea of how your stuff sounds. This can also cause the microphone to just be staticy for some reason

The sample rate of your microphone also matters to. If your microphone is not the same sample rate as FL Studio, that can cause it to have issues
