Thanks for posting, @austere field!
Fill out your track metadata so it appears on the website.
i might just lower the violin a bit too
the strings at the start sound a little bit non-human (i.e. a consistent wave when the note is held for long enough) and that puts me off a little bit. Other than that the rest of the song seems good but maybe try a little bit more mixing on the drums as they sound "dry."
Well that's just vibrato and is what most players do for held notes, but I do agree that you could try to find a non-vibrato violin for this
since you want honesty... the moment i clicked play my hopes went down 99%
- sound selection sounds like general midi
- i liked the drums for the most part until like 0:56 where it started falling out of its own rhythm ifyk what i mean (you are overcomplicating these)
- the whole vibe is good i think i know what youre going for
- a lot of low end but you lack mid and highs imo (instrument-wise), for this i would transpose something like the piano or a synth up an octave
- the track isnt necessarilly boring for this style
overall not that bad, but we are lacking still
the violin at the start is zenology if i had to guest and i'd say add some slight muffle to the violin and some reverb to it aswell
thanks for the honest feedback
you can stand to do a little rearranging but for the most part everything sounds good i like the concept
