Started working on this this morning, this is the A section and half of my B section, i thought it would be good to stop here to get some opinions on how its going. I am REALLY iffy about the break atm. I wanted smth aggressive, and took advice from yesterday of making the kicks stand out a little more, but the drums still seem to be lacking. I DID start working with gross beat, which has made my "glitching" easier. Anyways hmu with anything you see fit!

already noticing i might need to sync up the grossbeat with the panning on the B section

Cool beat. At :34, & :39, the crackle sounds are bit harsh, i think its from clipping. You can lower the gain to fix it. The kicks sound a bit weak, can use some compression as well. But the stutters are really cool!!

increased kick gain, decreased the rest of the break slightly

#

i have some open hi-hats in there you might be saying are too harsh, i cant exactly prove it but that might be what ur talking about?

Inherently designed around people spamming “slop” samples

As far as I have researched there’s no Anti-AI policy, but that’s not the part that really bothers me

You basically only get 3 samples per week to download from there, unless you spend money OR are a creator on the website

Most of the genres are flooding with people spamming pitched, slowed, and copy paste samples constantly, which makes finding the ones you want harder. They say they have a system where they scan the samples for identity and safety but it’s not that strong?

#

While looking for the breakcore samples I came across maybe 3 walls of about 30-ish samples all the same thing, being ear-blasting waveforms, etc

#

The unique ones on there are good, and it’s not bad for a free sample website, they even have a stated and emphasized no copyright policy on the samples published

#

But the way it’s designed promotes a lot of clutter

#

And some people are really mean with some of those waveforms btw, I avoid almost all the ones that look like a wall but sometimes I get into a doomscrolling state and move over them and yeah, came across one that was just a high pitch shriek, probably somewhere around 18k hz

#

Don’t know for sure, but damn felt like it

Lmao dang I kinda like it

oh the way the website is visually designed, and the sample playback, is really convenient!

#

i just dont like the premise of the currency's refill rate
