tell me your opinion of what you think of this song on its overall sound, like "this is too quite," "this part sounds harsh on the ear," or something else idk

Doesn't sound harsh or quiet. It's great

#

Maybe around 2:10 you can make the drums feel clear, that would be nice

This sounds great. What I would try if I had the mouse in the hand, I would probably cut the highs a bit. Like simply low pass a wee little bit at 18k on the master. But this is a good mix overall I think.

Its a great composition but the rhythm is drowned out by the mix. The mids/mid-highs/highs are great in the mix, but need to come down in volume. The rhythm (kick, snare, and bass mostly) need to come up in volume.

If you look at the first chorus (1:00), the kick is there, but its completely drowned out when the leads come in.

Additionally, the pad in the beginning, its nice and wide, but its kind of low pitched and causes low-end mud. I would actually bring it up one octave to see how it sits in the mix and if it helps the bass/kick come through. 100hz and lower, you usually want to have very little size/side audio because it is easy for stereo waves in those frequencies to cancel each other out. from 100hz-400hz you want those frequencies tighter and clear as well, but doesnt always need to be mid-only, it can have some side movement as long as its not interfering with the bass. So, moving the wide pad up an octave (maybe 2) would give a lot of clarity to the low end.

Soooo much better!! Its keeping a lot of the drive and power, but I think you might have taken the mids/highs a little too low. theyre just about level with the rhythm, you want them just a little bit above the rhythm in this case. But man, you made a huge improvement, its turning into a diabological banger!

listening rn and I mean either my ear isn't fully trained mixing wise rn (as im still learning) but it sounds great bro

#

I guess my only tiny issue is that, well listen at 0:40, you can hear that high pitched plucky synth thingy, just tone it down a bit with eq, soft clipper, volume, compression, whatever works yk

opinion from an untrained ears is just as good, since it helps me know what a normal listener would feel

0:14 the Pan Claps were witty here

0:24 the crescendo here to 0:29 was neat. ❤️

0:45 The high pitch frequencies here (specifically on the beeps) I especially love, though, in my opinion, I feel that there isn't a reason to change the pitch on the beeps around 0:52. It seems like it went up a half note)

The drop at 1:00 gave me life. Maybe bring volume down on the synths slightly to let some of the lower frequencies come through.

1:30 Phase Out/In here was the switch up the track needed

The melody at 1:52 - 2:08 was everything.

Bringing the beeps back right after that part was hot.

The resolve at the end was done nicely! Wouldn't change a thing here.

8/10 Would absolutely put this on my Spotify playlist. It was giving '07 Techno vibes.
Great work ❤️
