Hey guys I’ve got a general question. I’m now recording since about 2 years and currently trying to improve the whole sound experience of my projects by using beats from people I know for custom arrangements, sound effects and other stuff like ear candy etc. . Does anyone know how to find more out about this? Would really appreciate it 🙏 sorry for my English too

I know that. I feel like the “thickness” of the sound of my songs is what’s really missing (apart from vocal skills) when comparing me with professional artists. I sometimes try mixing my songs but I’ve got a friend who does the final mixes usually. Still I’m not 1000% happy and I thing mastering also is an issue.

realistically, mastering shouldn't make a major difference in the way your song sounds
"thickness" to me sounds like you need something to fill in the lower-mid range, maybe you want some pads or something? not sure what style of music you're trying to make.
