I'm agree with you, I can't really tell what is wrong but something bother me. The beat is also quite repetitive so it gets pretty boring very quickly 😅 But yeah the fact that it is quite "empty" leaves enough room to rap on it, for sure.

This track sounds like what I have heard before, hundreds of times. This might be fine, I would ask you - What is your moitvation for making this music? The only bit which stood out to me and said anything remotely new was the sharp guitar that you had sitting in the back, it can be heard at ~30 seconds in. Otherwise, it's a repetitive generic beat. That's fine if that's what you're going for, if not - think about developing ideas and incorporating unique sounds (The world is your oyster with sounds. Sound is music and music is sound, turn anything into music, sample real life stuff and process it, create unique synths etc.)

I think this beat 100% works for an artist, it’s very open and gives room for the artist to shine. It definitely gives off the vibe of like the Juice Wrld era, it’s nice. It does sound very basic but I feel that’s why it would work for an artist. It wouldn’t make a producer happy but as a listener, if someone was rapping on it then it would work.

with your melody I would suggest throwing in 1/16 notes, and I just mean sprinkle them here and there between your 1/8 notes and then go to effects processing on your guitar - and add EQ2, as well as Fruity Blood Overdrive, Chorus, Flanger, and Phaser - make it unique and have more movement and depth - this will help you I feel like, I forgot to say (carve out your harmonics of your guitar in EQ2) and just cycle through the different types of presets for Chorus, Flanger, Phaser till it fits, don't forget about Reverb and Delay 3 as well (delay 3 set to 1/8 note + ping pong + and 40-50% wet)

sonically wise i think its rlly good, did you make that "guitar" melody yourself or is it a melody loop? if you did drop the vst you used bcs it sounds rlly nice
i think your 808 is way louder than the rest of the instruments, i would turn up the other instruments and honestly the entire mix as a whole too
but yeah i can hear someone rapping over this
