#I dunno what to call this nor what genre it is specifically

also accidentally made the chords in the beginning WAY too quiet so that's why it sounds empty
creative naming scheme ik
Yo fire boss battle music?
Just touch up the piano 😭
Idk some of the notes dont sound too good for what your trying to go for
What exactly did you invision?
May I ask before creating this
what do you think im trying to go for though?
well i certainly was inspired by undertale music ngl
🤷♂️
Theres your stem of creativity
With music when we first start, are more prone to copy other people's work before finding our bearings and our own style
Atleast thats something I see alot with people
though i try to not copy too much
All you need is practice, creativity from your own self, and reality.
what do you think i should've done with the piano?
Reality as in. You will never know you're good at producing until you're good at producing
😭
It could take months
Years
Anytime
Depends on how quickly you learn
well i've been experimenting for like a month
i haven't really touched any tutorials
besides something on EQ
Eh, it feels like its too many keys playing at once, some of them sound somewhat out of tune to the first key then the second sounds way different to the tune originally
so a bit slower?
Actually listening back over it
It doesnt sound too badish
Some of the keys dont sound great though
I couldnt tell you based off pure sound though, I'm not a musical genius or nowhere near experienced enough to tell you that
Just experiment on it until it sounds good to your ears
welp still appreciate any feedback as im probably newer than you at least
And kinda envision what genre you're going for
What beat do you want to make should be your first question
i was thinking like piano+chiptune+guitars
And if someone was to rap or sing or something on it how would you want them to sound
You quite literally control their flow and everything
Youre the mastermind
i have actually made a beat
Thats the coolest part about producing
lemme give it
when i made this i was even newer so pardon if it sounds really bad
I dont judge, nobody really should since we were in your shoes once as well
Just practice man, knowledge is your greatest asset.
how is it though?
Muscle Memory and Flow State is everything
i've found that the stuff i make sounds crappy at first, but when you play it again it sounds better for some reason
Once you learn something, you understand it, and once you understand it you can use it to do whatever that thing is specific for
i meant like the beat, how is it?
what is a beat then?
instrumental just means no vocals doesn't it?
A beat is a completed piece of music
You think this drum riff is a instrumental?
well i havent exactly studied much music theory so idk
i just assumed that instrumental=no vocals
An instrumental follows a similar structure to a vocal song, featuring elements like intro, verse, and chorus, but with the main vocal melody played by an instrument instead.
oh
If youre passionate enough about music then you shouldn't have a problem experimenting a bit
alright so for whatever it is, how is it?
Just have fun with it dont let music turn into feeling like a chore or a job
Thats when you'll lose your mind trying to figure out music
basically what i've been doing for the past month
Looking into music theory and see what equipment should be used, how to use it and understanding tempos, rhythms, and your notes like D Major and shit
You'll have a good grip on music and you'll be able to pick out sounds alot more easily that match
And plus. If they dont you can always slice and chop it up to make it sound good to your ears or even slow it down
cool but like, could you tell me how good or bad this sounds?
yeah thanks
Im still learning shit everyday
Its fun man just crack at it when you feel inspired to
it's because you said cr_ck
Wow
