you open another soundfont instead

but what if I want to use the same one

floral lion
#

making unique mean the pattern is no longer linked to other patterns, but is still using the same soundfont

flat thunder
#

i'm new to FL Studio so i'm just confused

#

so I have to just not use the same one I'm using even though it has bass and piano in it

#

the soundfont i'm using has a lot of stuff

floral lion
#

yes, open 2 soundfonts, one with bass, one with whatever

flat thunder
#

then what's the point of having all of the bass, piano, organ, and such when you can't even use it

#

that's really odd

floral lion
#

you have to open... another soundfont...

flat thunder
#

bro idk what that means

#

like

#

the same one but open it a different way?

floral lion
#

the current soundfont is loaded with a bass sound, but it cannot at the same time load another sound, so you need to open another soundfound that load a different sound like piano for example

flat thunder
#

so like

#

should I just make a copy of the soundfont in the folder

floral lion
#

add another soundfont in the channel rack

#

that's it

flat thunder
#

idk if this is what you mean but I did

#

but it's still bass

#

I switched the bass to the second soundfont

floral lion
#

i assume you added the "Undert...atus #2" thing

flat thunder
#

yeah

#

oooh wait

floral lion
# flat thunder yeah

in the piano roll, click the instrument name at the top, and select the new instrument that you just added

flat thunder
#

one sec

floral lion
#

the current pattern still holds the old bass so delete that

flat thunder
#

nah I figured it out

floral lion
#

great

flat thunder
#

I put the piano pattern in the bass one on accident

#

I just didn't know what you were talking about until you said to add another soundfont in the channel rack

#

if you said it like that first I would have gotten it lol
