I started fl studio 4 days ago just exploring and stuff and this is my first ever beat created i would love feedback thank you. The melody is also by me so if possible tell me what i can tweak

The low end is clashing

#

Route the 808 into a mixer track and put Fruity Peak Controller on it
Route the strings into a track if they aren't already routed and put a fruity parametric eq on it that looks like this

And right click the mix knob

And pick the peak controller as the controller

wouldnt it be better to automate the gain of the low end instead? wont the mix create some kind of phasing?

You can automate but then you have to manually change it every time you move the 808 arrangement

Well if you link it like this then
0 sound coming from 808 = 0 mix on the eq = 0 gain reduction

You're adding not no bass

#

Whereas sound coming from 808 = 100% mix on the eq = Full gain reduction = no low end

Allowing the 808 to be hearable

Aside from the mixing this a cool beat i like the scratch fx
