if you added a little bit of distortion to the 808 and made it quieter i feel like the mixing would sound a lot better

right now your 808 doesn't have a lot of harmonics so it needs to be really loud in order to be heard, but if you put it through fast dist or something to saturate it, then the harmonics will help it come through the mix a lot better
