I think you should keep both honestly, except reverse it

start with the low pass, and then through the song ease it up to full spectrum for emotional tension

especially if you plan to add lyrics, you can mirror that intensity

I think the contrast sounds nice

but as an instrumental alone, it doesn't really have enough energy

so if you were to low pass it, maybe add an arp in the background as well or something to fill the space that's lost from the filter

personally, I think it could be way louder

if you don't want it to be louder though, the issue is that everything is in the same frequency range
