100-350 beginner range
350 - 650 intermediate range
650 - 1250 professional range
1250+ youve been in the game for like atleast 5yrs and are kitting out ur own studio

the sm58 is great in untreated rooms but you won't find a dynamic microphone as a main mic in any treated studio. It's condenser all the way
