thank you bro
bump ^^
I mess with what you got going
you sang the background vocals well
I'm having mixed feelings about the lead, feel like the auto tune is a tuning a bit too much, especially the sustained words the vibrato is too robotic imo,
when it comes to the mix
Theres some sibilance's that are too sharp, and the reverb makes them more noticable
A de-esser could help soften the s'.
Im not sure which stage youre in when it comes to the mixing process but in general i feel like the overall mix is too bright, i think some warmth would help make it feel full
vocals down a little bit, take out some of the highs, maybe make the vocals more spacey and warm?
i was thinking of adding a de esser, but the thing is, i don't know where to put it , since i have all of my effects stacked on my main preset, and i was too lazy to do routing and stuff
thanks bro
thanks to both of you guys
for now its alright
cause what you have rn gets the general idea across
i think its a good idea to then use sends for the delay and all that once youre refining the mix
its hard to say but i think you should try de essing before e1 or before rvox
the answer for the order is in the plugins functionality
eg. ns1
it does noise reduction
it would make sense to put that before a compressor
because you'd the sound to be cleaner before it gets processed by the compressor or whatever
listen to the vocal, like objectively and just try breakdown what you need to do into categories
maybe you want to clean up the vocals first
so use clean up plugins
noise suppression
eq
de clipping
whatever
or maybe you want to control the dynamics
so use dynamic controlling plugins
compressors
volume automation
blah blah
or its time to make it sound like its in another space
use reverbs
convolution plugins
yea that is true, more control
e1 is an eq, btw
yeah i get that
it makes sense
i'm not really an expert at mixing, so i don't mix from scratch, but i use my own presets that i've made that usually fit the style i'm going for
how do you think i should be adding warmth to something like this?
if needed, i can show you all the settings for the plugins
😂
thank you bro

i really liked that song
i just made a song rn also
gave u some feedback
you can add warmth by boosting the mid-low frequencies
im suggesting that you do this on the kick and bass
you can do that with an eq
and distortion plugins
(i prefer to use tape distortion)
which distortion plugins do you have?
that pultech eq would sound well on kicks and bass
"puigtec EQP1A"
its more than an eq, its a color eq
so it adjusts frequencies but also adds harmonic distortion
also theres nothing wrong with using presets
just make sure you update them
like in this case the chain could use a de-essing update
you'd have to just compromise and lose a few effect slots
and maybe consider creating+using a template that has delay and whatever effects you like on separate tracks then all you have to do is just route and adjust the blend between the send track and main vocal chain
oh well i've only done the vocals on it
not the beat
should i just add it to the whole beat?
which ones would you recommend
i have decapitator and saturn 2
makes sense
i could try doing that
thank you bro
i've never actually done that because i didn't really need it but i feel like i'd be more organised with it
those are good enough tbh
you can do a lot with those 🔥
you can add saturn 2 on the best
and use the warm tape algorithm
and see if you like it, maybe even increase the drive a lil or not
then just do a small eq boost
i say try it with the pultech first
if you wanna get surgical then you could use like fruity parameteric eq2 on specific frequencies
try and see if you can find where the bass stands out and the kick then just boost those
it’s gonna be a bit tough but try do that on the whole heat 😅
nah that’s understandable
but try see if making a template works out for you
would you recommend any other ones?
alright i will try
okay will do this, thank you bro
