Easiest way to identify the genre is by tempo and rhythm, this is around 140 which would make it dubstep but it doesn’t have a typical two-step dubstep rhythm nor powerful subs.
Sounds like melodic edm with more of a rap beat
For advice it sounds good I would add subs but really depends on what you are making

it is exactly 140bpm and adding subs is a great idea so ill take a look at it tmrw
but the genre is a huge problem for me because i feel like i am mixing too many genres together and afterwards it resolves in something that is practically almost everything

Nah genres are stupid labels anyway, don’t need to obey them, just make what you like honestly

A dubstep offshoot from 2008/9 instead of deep brooding basslines and dark atmosphere it has more of a video gamey feel? A lot changes, the producers use really colourful synths and melodies

It’s a lot different than what you made, its still a lot darker but idk you might find something in it
