Nice, i like it, i was expected a drop
im still in the middle of learning kinda
so im not sure where im meant to go from here
i dont know if i should loop it or extend a little more
add an intro
and go forward from there
but thanks
no worries, i'm a beginner like u so i cannot give more advices
I like it! It's a good start! Adding an intro would really help, just start of with only one layer of the beat present, I often just start with the lead, but whatever sounds good to you is correct! Then, in the drop, I think some soft drums would add to the groove.
The melody is there, so refine it a bit and it'll be very, very good!
hey, i appreciate the feedback
im glad you like it too!
so you think i should take the melody and add it to the to the beginning alone to create an intro kinda?
Yeah yeah! Just have the melody at the start, with maybe some effects, transitions, etc... to build up to the main part of the song and eventually the drop!
okay i just did that
i still have no idea how to introduce the melody and transition into the section with the "chorus" i guess
pour un tout premier son c'est vrmt carré 🔥
thank you
Gave +1 Rep to @worldly adder (current: #175 - 1)
@lyric zenith i added the melody alone kinda
im not entirely sure if my workflow is also correct, i made the beat on piano roll and i transfer everything here onto the playlist
personnaly i finish that
A way to make this easier is: in the pattern list (on the left of the playlist), right click on Pattern 1 and click on 'Split by channel', this will put all of your instruments in different patterns and make it easier for you to arrange. I do this with drums and melodies when I get to the arranging stage.
okay im doing that rn
im SCARED
how do i regroup them again if i want to later
did this
im just scared ill get confused later and lose track of what im doing/lose the work
Yeah sooo, I haven't quite found that out, that's why I first do the loop and then arrange the beat
it's helpful to save all the time
thats true actually
that way i wont have to duplicate or copy over parts of the beat
instead they are all separeted already and i can just move them however i want
just like how you said i should keep the melody separate for the first section
and, in the top left, when you click on file, you can save as new version, that'll make a duplicate of the file and automatically put you in the new version
oh so that way if something ever goes wrong i can just go back to the original?
Yup! you got it!
i dont wanna keep bothering you but can i add you and maybe get some more advice from you later? id really appreciate it
Sure I'm down, but I'm gonna have to dip in a bit. I have exams which I need to study for, but feel free to dm me for help!
so do i, ive been distracted with this all day hahah
