I think i lost all my projects. please help.

can someone help me. i somehow lost all my files from dragging a project containing all my backups and FL projects into my desktop- and i dont know how to to get them back. ive checked the trashbin, i dont have time machine on my mac, and its not in my folder somewhere else. it looks like my fl studio has literally been resetted.

the recent projects list might have been cleared but the actual saved .flp files shouldn't have been removed, unless you deleted them yourself

try clicking save as and it should bring up a prompt to save to a folder, this should be where you're other projects are, then just go to this location and open one up

i see where all the projects and backups are- but there are no files within them. i dont think i deleted them myself, as when i look in the trashbin there is nothing to be seen. do you know how i could maybe fix this?

if they're gone then they're gone

you could try searching your whole computer for .flp files, but ultimately it's your computer. fl wouldn't just mass delete projects like this, unless you like, saved in an installation folder or something

and what should i do if i did save it in an installation folder?

don't do it again

you would have to have purposefully done this since by default, when you first save a project it points to the data folder

so in conclusion though, its all just, gone?

if they truly are not anywhere on your computer then yes

just be a bit more mindful on what you're doing on your computer going forward

i figured out i havent deleted them- my bin has things dating back a couple months. i think they are somewhere on my computer but i dont know how to reach them.
