#Exported audio has crackling effect on it

I basically just wanted to share a snippet of a track I'm working on and when I exported it in mp3 or .wav I noticed that the audio was crackling, regardless of what device I use for playback it happens. Any ideas why this might be? I've tried to use the default export options for both wav and mp3 first and then made some changes, which you can see on the image I attached. Also I'll attach the track too so you know what I mean when I say "crackling" sound. Any ideas why this might be?

I use the FL Studio ASIO device where I run my headphone microphone and sound through that buffer length is 512 and my actual device format is at 48000Hz 16 bit for the speakers, and the same for the mic, but I don't think that matters a whole lot.

Edit: By the way this specifically happens at the exported audio, the playback inside FL is fine.

Might be due to the project sample rate, distortion going on due to loudness in the mixer or actually your buffer length. Buffer length usually doesn't change a whole lot though, depending on how good your CPU is, you should put it at a higher value.

Use max Resampling in the export settings. I can't see what is set since the pic is too blurry

Not sure if this tells you anything really.

Oh wait, I think I've found the main issue, I usually change the volume knob which is located nex t to the pattern/song changer and start stop record tempo button, and in reality my track is extremeyl freaking loud if I put that to the maximum

#

then I assume its because of that and I should instead use the mixer to change the volume

you're running FL with a 44.1kHZ sample rate though

yeah that'll definitely introduce distortion to your mix

I'll change that, but now I've set the master of my track a bit down exported the same way and now its perfectly normal sounding

Ah damn, thank you very much, I wouldn't have really figured this out myself this quick
