it's just the loops you chose. they are already muffled like that and you cant fix it

but i recommend you to try making your own melodies/drums

because you will learn faster

yeah, if you dont know music theory, you should definitely practice/learn it first

also if you find good free sounds and vsts on the internet, it will boost the quality of your music

i tried to do this basic reggaeton loop and the bass i did myself let me know what i should do

The drums are good for sure and have the right dance rhythm. It does need chords to fill out the space and a melody that complements the drums.

The bass can just be a basic version of the melody or the root notes of the chords
