i have a Digital Yamaha Piano and i want to record and play the actual sounds from my piano to flstudio using my midi cables but i just couldnt figured it out and the informations that i got on the internet is not as clear. everywhere i searched is that everyone is using a plugin/vst to play and record it. I just wanted to try to compose a song in flstudio using the actual piano sounds from my digital piano. i have a Yamaha CLP-735 and i have both usb midi to usb and one of those xlr midi in and out to usb cables

MIDI does not transmit audio data, it's strictly midi and note data. You would need to have a port on your piano that can output audio, which you would then need to plug that into an interface
