the sound selection is solid
the chords needs some work
theres too much dissonance(so change one of the notes in the chords) the 1st 3 chords work well, but i dont think the progression resolves well
another thing would be the bass
it sounds a bit out of tune, it just needs some fine tuning so that it fits better
but in general i think you should look for a different bass sound
fire
how do you quantify dissonance, because to me the chord sounds fine. i can agree on the bass part tho
its notes that make the chord sound "bad"
when you stack notes they make a specific tone
that tone can sound nice in a certain context but it also can ruin the overall feeling
chords 1-3 sound emotional chord 4 sounds random and out of place
if maybe you transitioned that chord in a way that was less tense it could work
but they arent working with each other
try imagine a scene with these 5 chords you played
chords 1-3 present a scene where someone is being vulnerable
then chord 4 they have a whole different mood
when it resolves it doesnt end up feeling that way
i see what you mean, but tbh, lofi isnt supposed to be an emotional, mood setting sound. idk i like the chord, but ill experiment changing it
