if you dont know chords yet, i would learn them you can use a website called one motion to help you pick them out

It comes build-in with the DAW.
Use that to generate a 'chord progression', which can be used as a reference (for Bassline) & (for Chords).

Combined with build in scale function (Snap to Scale), you can get a modified piano roll which locks only the related notes to the key. (for Lead Melodies)

I'm 1 week into this, trust me these two functions will speed up the melody making part without cramming music theory too deep. 🤟
