.
so right now i'd say you have too many things playing in one octave. it all blends together and you can't actually make out the different parts.
good idea to shift some stuff up and down until it sounds right
well if you dont shift it around it sounds really cluttered
so you either have to shift some octaves or just clear out some stuff
hmmm alr ill try
alright
should i get rid of the bass that goes with the melody? cuz i have two bass, one thats in the main melody instrument then the other actual bass
im gonna be honest i can't tell which one the bass is lol
but another tip: make the drums quieter
the bass is subtle cuz i couldnt really figure out a good melody or rythm for it in conjunction with how much the main melody jumps around
ok so are you just playing overlapping notes or are there mulitple patterns playing the same instrument
yeah the bass is like the same notes just a few octaves lower and matching with the melody's rhythm. and on the third part where it transitions to the final measures i have multiple instruments playing the same melodic pattern cuz it just felt empty to me, i wanted it to feel heavier
can you send me the flp or something like that?
whats flp? sorry im newer,

flps are song files
basically its the file format that fl studio saves your music to
so you can reopen it
alright
ok so id recommend using snap to scale to have all of your notes fit together (after moving all your notes into the scale then it'll probably already sound a lot better)
i also noticed that the song doesnt really "fit" into the 80 bpm tempo that you're using
like it's just doing its own thing regardless of how fl studio thinks it's supposed to be timed
also clicking on the scale names and notes (left picture) lets you change which one you want to snap to
and yeah you do have overlapping notes
but definitely get the scale and rhythm down first
