im trying to improve myself
Please Give me suggestions and advices
pretty solid, I think you could work on mixing it so that the sample hits harded when the kicks come in. I heard you could clone the audio clip and move one side to the left and the other to the right and maybe itll open it up a bit. you could also add some automation to the volume to make it pick up towards the kick. although there are better ways to do it im only a year into fl.
sounds very ool though and i see the vision
thanks too much but
can you tell me what to do
step by step?
yea i gotchu
i get you lemme jus pice it together rn
- Right click on the knob next to the sample in the channel rack, and hit create automation which will bring up an automation clip.
channel panning right?
the automation clip willl change the volume as the song plays
it has a line you can mess with but i think youll get it when you see it.
or
- go to the mixer track and put assign your sample to a track and put a sound goodizer on the sample
A sound goodizer just makes it sound cool, I wish i could explain it but youll hear it
nah channel volume
the panning thing was to make it sound more full but dont think about that part you wont need it
nah you aint
aight
im on fl too rn
i jus finished sum and teaching people is the best way to know if you getting better i think
but yeah you got the automation
yea and you see the line that showed up
you can right click on the line to create pivot points that you can raise or lower the volume with
obviously if you pull the line up it gets louder and if you lower it it gets quieter, the pivot points will allow you to make whatever your automating progressively louder and quieter
yeah i see
i should make it like,
lower to louder?
thats the point i dont get it
nah lower for quieter and up for louder
yuh
soooo
i dont see any changes at voice but? theres any problem? am i missing
something?
nah now you make it so that the part that comes up is louder than the before the kicks, and then you go to the mixer channels and put a soundgoodizer (effect) into the effects channel of your sample
1.open mixer channel
2.press the channel your sample is assigned to
3. add a sound goodizer
then you can mess with the options on it and stuff
otherwise if that dont do what your lookin for thats my bad
you can also boost the kicks in there sampler channel and that will make it hit harder aswell
nah nah im actually looking for ANY advice
i need to bring my first beat on top as i can
you are experienced guy so i can trust you
fs fs, lemme send you some pics and explain sumn else that could help
okay
you see the candle nect to precomputed effects
press that and a boost option should come up
move it up a tiny bit or it will mess up the sound of the kick
also open this by double clicking the kick you inputted in the channel rack
first of all
im gonna try
this
i dont even know how can i reach this section
pattern 1
aight
on the left where the writing is
press the sound you put te kick at
double press it
ye my b is that a sampled bass or a is that from a synth
also rn it seems you are missing some basic on what you can do with the sounds understandably, but what helped me through this phase of producing was a youtube channel called in the mix, watch his beginners tutorial and itll tell you all you need to know to stary, but before then.
double click the bass then and what i sent you should show up
hop on call for a bit my b
dont put ur drums all in the same channel like that
why
cuz its bad practice
u should have a diff channel for each kit element
lotta reasons why mostly so u can mix em
and arrange em properly
show me ur channel rack
its a nice beat but u need better drum sounds
i'd learn how to use fl first it doesnt seem like u fully know the program
u gotta aassign all tat stuff to channels
theyre unassigned
im trying to learn with practicing
so u havent mixed any of it
nothing is eqd
no effects on anything
youll be okay tho its a great start
also try to make ur own melodies
invest in a quality vst
soo can you tell me what to do step by step?
like nexus or electra3 would prob be best
no i cant unfortunately theres youtube tutorials
assign those tracks 1 - however many trakcs u have looks like about 8 or 9 or so
so do 1 thru 9
and then split by channel and arrange as such
ask chatgpt to clarify what im tellin ya i just dont have time to walk u thru it step by step
then from there u can go into the mixer
and eq stuff add effects do all that
aight
do some gross beat automation stuff on that sample to give it some variety ig
and download a kit like a free kit or something
and swap someof those sounds out
the drums r a lil weak imo
but im not saying ur beat is bad at all
dont take this the wrong way
yeah
i got you
thats my first ever beat tho
im tryna improve
i'll listen your advices
for a first beat its very good
thanks so much
