Why is that? Do strings have to little range to play that or is it just not possible?

well the main problem is that it wouldn't be very fun for the performer

It might seem weird that im asking you to consider physical limitations of human performers for synthesized music but

The fact people dont have infinite energy and also dont enjoy playing super repetitive material means orchestral composers are incentivized to write pieces that have a lot of variation in how melodic lines and textures are written

i guess the my main point is that if a composition is really boring to play for a performer then its also risks being boring to the listener for similar reasons
