is it full volume or faint? if its full volume right click the record button and see whats checked in the recording filter. Then when it asks what would you like to record hit audio into the playlist as an audio clip. Also find a free mixer track for your audio recording setting the mic input up on a used mixer track records any audio linked to that track. It's been years since I've used FL Studio to record audio so I might be wrong.

Yeah that's strange, stuff like that is why I use pro tools to record audio now. Did you try to change to FL Studio ASIO to see if it still persists?

i dont think its fl studio because even when im not on fl studio on the focusrite control app i can see the noise coming out of input 1 and 2 too. i tryed fl studio asio but then i cant record anymore with my microphone

Or does this dialog show up each time you click record? If it does, then are you clicking "everything"?

So when you click record, it will be recording your room even if you're not using the mic

yes if i go to a mixer channel and go input 1 or two it makes white noise even without a mic plugged in

#

and even when im on focusrites control panel it shows the noise.

#
