Thank you man, means a lot to me... yeah I can try that when I am at home
Its great! Besides literally the rhythm/percussion
you should use simple drums like 4 on the floor
okay, here is a new version, with your advice guys
I used 4 on the floor drums, another hh and put a limiter on the mixer
The old click percussion made a bit of sense in the context it was in. I feel like this new click doesn't fit it as much
yeah, when i started this project i choose this one bcs i thought it had a (deeper) sound, ican put it back no problem
I think the difference was that the first one had some filter to it, which matched the rest of the song while the new one didn't, and it felt like it was just "on top of" the song
the drums are much better
if you feel like it you can make them more complex now
like add a kick here and there, but you dont need to its fine this way
i get what you mean and no i didnt changed the filters and one question i got is, when my first reese starts i get a plug sound, thats annoying, you know why?
Reese?
wait
If it's what I think it is, it looks like a pad might also be a term for it
Ah, "harmony pad" should probably be pluck instead. Pads tend to fulfill a more droning role
ah, i think i know why, its bcs of the volume automation
yeah i just named it like that, thank you i didnt know its a pluck
Oh, are you talking about the pulsing sound the pad makes?
That's from the limiter. If the overall audio is too high, especially with the kicks, it'll lower the overall audio to compensate so it doesn't actually do any peaking. I think the term for this is ducking. You can kinda envision the decibel (loudness) physically ducking down to not hit the ceiling :P
i got this before now, now the sound is gone, so a normal start now
Oh... I think I know what you're talking about. I don't think the exported audio file has what you're talking about, cuz I've had to do that in my projects to fix some live playback issues in my projects as well. It was basically that your drone was popping in before getting quiet?
yes yes exactly
Yeah, apparently that's just a bug when you're playing it in FL Studio and not as a rendered audio file. I guess the automation doesn't catch up immediately
