unreal ravine
#

reminds me of a game soundtrack, idk how to move on from there tho, maybe add synth stabs every other Bar

unreal ravine
# hidden tiger what is a synth stab

Best I can explain rn is basically a short, abrupt synth chord or sounds which in music theory I think would be considered closest to staccato or marcato.. it sounds kinda like the phrase: synth stab

#

At least that's my limited understanding

#

Look up examples

hidden tiger
#

do u have an example

#

ok

how does idk11 sound

bronze sable
#

I’m on my phone I can’t listen

hidden tiger
#

the bass is a little wack

bronze sable
#

idk why discord is like this

hidden tiger
#

yea its dum

robust delta
#

the bass and drum are clashing, since the drum has an extended bass sound at the end, just shorten the drum so its just the drum part, and then itll sound not so wack

hidden tiger
#

for idk11?

robust delta
#

yeah

hidden tiger
#

i feel like the bass is discordant

#

@unreal ravine how is this

unreal ravine
#

Decent sketch I would first think about adding in some more ideas, layering in other words. Also....get some countermelody going. And break away from the rhythm for a moment or after a bit to create some variance. Those are more objective takes, but personally .. I'd like change the drums cuz I feel they don't fit

hidden tiger
#

Hrm

#

Counter melody

#

Idk how to do that

unreal ravine
#

Best to study some rudimentary music theory, as that's the most solid way 2 ingest it, but if you have a physical keyboard piano or some other instrument u can actually understand it by playing a melody, and then screwing around with "complimentary" notes that sound good played against or after your melody

#

Aka contramelody

#

If that's too complicated, just practice with harmonies for now, which everyone can understand. But you'll wanna grasp counterpoint

hidden tiger
#

Ok

#

Maybe I'll just clone the melody and fuck around and see if it helps
