I'm going for something kind of like Rain World threat music, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

The drum line sounds too much like rap, but other than that it totally sounds like it belongs in Rain World :)

I did add shakers, and also added a lead which now that I listen to it, it kinda sucks.

I don't think the lead is bad. I think it just needs to be more... leady. It kinda seems like it's just following along the chord progression without trying to do much

(Is there even a chord progression here? ) Yes there is, lol.
It sounds like maybe the lead is just simply chord-clashing, causing it to fall flat a bit more

@misty osprey make it a little faster (not bpm) with the drum pattern so it has that sense of urgency you get from the threat songs

and have the percussion a little bitcrushed or a little bit electronic sounding
