#Entire project muting after solo-ing and unsolo-ing a channel
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
In the screenshot, for example, the track is enabled on Playlist and mixer. But muted in Channel rack. So I wont hear the loop until its unmuted from channel rack
nothing is muted anywhere
it happens when i solo a mixer channel specifically
as soon as i unsolo it my entire project is silent
Check your routing, are the channels being routed to the master channel? With volume levels up on the send to the Master?
This issue can also happen with certain plugins. Like for instance, if you load a blank patcher plugin on the master channel, you wont hear anything until a patcher preset is selected
lastly, check for any rogue volume automations under Browser > Project > Initiliazed controls
How are you soloing?
Channel rack?
Playlist track?
Mixer?
It matters how your soloing because of the logic of the solo, if you're soloing tracks, if they're midi tracks you're essentially turning off the midi trigger, vs mixer soloing, the audio is already coming through. I always recommend soloing the mixer
.
okay, i fixed it.
turns out, re-enabling specifically mixer track 14 was silencing my entire project.
if i turned off channel 14 but kept the others on, i could hear everything
i reset that mixer channel and it fixed. weird because nothing was weird about it, there was nothing different about the routing or any settings, no weird effect plugins on that channel
but apparently it had something on it to make that happen
not sure but whatever, it's fixed
hopefully doesn't happen anymore
yea ok i figured it out. fuckin vintage synth plugin was a free trial apparently and is programmed to silence everything after some time. what a shitty way to do a free trial lol this does not make me want to buy your product
anyway thanks for the help guys
this is how most vsts do trials
that or they play noise
