FL Studio isnt a free programm

you can use the trial forever tho, you just cant open save files

You can start with the FL studio trial its pretty good

You could also look at Reaper but thats not really beginner friendly from what i heard

yep, you keep it forever and get all new versions of it

which is nice cuz for other DAWs you only get the version you buy

so if theres ever an FL studio 50 or something you get that

id just play around with the trial tho

I personally think that for any skill the best way is to just look at a really simple tutorial first

so just something that explains the basics of FL studio

I wouldnt do that

A course teaches you things that you might not need

You should just watch how the basics work and then start playing around with stuff you enjoy

and if you dont know how to do something

you look it up

and continue

I dont even thinkits a trial, the normal version is just free and you only pay if you make larger sums of money with it

Also I think that reaper isnt the idealist for beginners because of how anoying it is to setup + in my experience not that user friendly (which tbf is a hard fight against FL lol)

What you're talking about is the Discounted License vs the Commercial License, I'm quite sure Reaper wouldn't want you do any commercial business with the evaluation version of Reaper
