So if i want to change a sound for a pattern using flex i select the specific pattern and i switch it from song to pat but it will change all the other patterns

this is normal FL behavior

also now the flex menu doesnt open when i right click it on the piano roll

You can bring up the plugin interface by left clicking on it in the channel rack, not the piano roll

now i can open it but it opens in the song and not the pattern/piano roll so i have to close the piano roll to adjust it

What do you mean it "opens in the song"?

Just note there are multiple windows in FL used for different things, you can resize and move windows as you see fit if you need to see 2 different things at the same time

Most windows have minimize, close, and maximize options in the top right corner and you can drag the window border to move it
