Fixed!
But yeah any piece of advice you could offer would be appreciated. I plan to take a look at your feedback request and offer what I can lol
Pretty nice little beat man. I've only been producing for 3 or so months but here's some things I noticed
1.) the beginning sounds a bit all over the place. I get it's an intro but some of the notes feel a bit random, especially that lower note. it's a bit jarring
2.) its a bit repetitive, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IH-zpS7gxxg&t=39s is a great video to learn how to comp better
3.) The piano lead sounds a bit too soft compared to the rain. I'd either turn down the rain or turn up the piano.
some more things, work on variation in the drums. I'd say for ur first beat, you definitely have the basics down. Its a great first beat. My first "beat" sounded like this to compare lol. keep working man
Do you have any tips for chord progressions? Im really wanting to make a nice melodic guitar beat to help me learn how guitar melodies work. After that I'm planning on trying to do a beat that samples some rock songs some friends of mine made
you've got a good start. what I do is start with something simple and build off that. Learn the circle of fifths, pick a key, and just start placing notes. try hopping around other keys. I tend to stay around c just because its all white keys and I can improvise easier but try harder ones and experiment. get urself a midi piano and just play it until you hear something cool.
a small midi keyboard changed the game for me tbh
but its not nessesary, you can use ur actual keyboard. the key is to make and improve
I do really appreciate all the thought you put into this
