start with drums. variate it like every 8 bars or every time you switch music section so it wont be bland. The same goes for the other instruments, think of at least 2 or 3 variations of each instrument so that you dont get such a tiring track that feels like 10 mins when there was only 2.
then start with melody. This should give you a good idea of how the bass should sound like. But you can tweak the two when you get to the bass.
Then comes the vocals.
And then the ambience or the "mood-fillers" if you will. the things that make your audio sound rich.

also, if you are using Synths like Serum or Vital (both good VSTs) then fuck about and find out. Experiment with them and get a grip on them. And always put effort and keep tweaking about with the parameters to get closer and closer to the desired sound. For from that point, it is all trial and error
