Yo so whats up yall, i have been working on this project for a few weeks now and its my third time using more than one instrument, but thats not what your here for your here to decide if the start of my song (0:30-1:06) sounds too dissonant, by TOO dissonant i mean dissonant to the point where it just ruins the next few seconds of the song, a few ppl have said the harp has done this, but im not actually sure rn which is why im tryna take more feedback before actually changing the harp btw anything past 2:30 is in progress

And if it does sound too dissonant, what do yall recommend i change the harp to?

Should i decrease the volume? Change the instrument? Cuz i still want a sense of uneasiness, or should i just remove the dissonant notes entirely?

Actually sounds perfect for the theme you were going for. Everything after it is a little too light though. It would only work if it stayed like that until a landmark of sort which would change the theme.

Orchestral music is expensive though

I have around 3000 dollars worth of plugins

But you don't need that many

300 dollar kontakt player and a 300 dollar plugin will get you set to start

Hand crash is a free cymbal plugin vst

It's pretty nice

For the most part though, I cringe at the music I made before kontakt plugins

Kontakt plugins usually make more dynamic sounds that feel more orchestrated than those. They can sound really midi. Not saying you can't use them.
