So

next ibex
#

Share your current setup, and voicemeeter routing.

cosmic roost
#

My guitar is plugged on my Minifuse 2 and the sound goes into FL studio

#

Im happi sound = great etc

#

BUT

#

If i want the sound to go to Voicemeeter Potato so i can make people happi cuz i play the guitar

#

I think voicemeeter has the signal but it is WEAK

#

and people just SLIGHTLY hear it

#

even with master and everything BLASTING

next ibex
#

You have peak meters in Voicemeeter no?

#

What's the level of things in voicemeeter

cosmic roost
#

idk what are peak meters

#

First input = my mic

#

and the two other are possibly the guitar

#

the 3rd one is getting the signal

next ibex
#

And where is the signal peaking in VM?

cosmic roost
#

like what the highest it reaches ?

next ibex
#

Sure.

cosmic roost
#

both of them has signal (i guess the first one is the raw sound of my plugged guitar and the other one is the one that goes through guitar rig)

next ibex
#

You have access to 12dB of gain from within voicemeeter, use that if you need to.

cosmic roost
#

Yeh but even with full gain look

#

people still doesnt hear it

next ibex
#

Wait a sec, why are you using vociemeeter if you have loopback on your interface

#

You should be using the virtual ASIO driver voicemeeter provides.

cosmic roost
#

in fl ?

next ibex
#

Yup. Set your ASIO driver in FL to one of the VAIO things.

cosmic roost
#

like the potato insert virtual one ?

next ibex
#

Under the ASIO options.

cosmic roost
#

none of them works

#

only minifuse asio driver does

next ibex
#

Give me a sec to wrap my head around this again.

You need to pass the Real mic/guitar into Voicemeeter, then process it, and send it back to VM, then send it to your headphones/discord.

cosmic roost
#

Kinda yes

#

In the past it worked it did like: Real guitar plugged in audio interface, sound goes directly to fl studio (to process it) and it goes to VM and in discord and Headphones

next ibex
#

Alright, my brain is working now.

cosmic roost
#

x))

#

im sorry that u have to go through this

next ibex
#

In voicemeeter, HW input 1 is your mic, HW Input 2 is your guitar.
Mic should be routed to the first "virtual send" (B1)
Guitar should be routed to the second virtual send (B2) (Or B3 for VAIO3)

In FL, use the second Virtual ASIO device. (or VAIO3)
Your guitar should go from your interface, through voicemeeter to FL, processed by your effect chain, then sent back to vociemeeter in the "Virtual inputs" area.
Send this to (B1) again, and probably A1, your hardware output/headphones.

#

From here, set discord to use the first virtual audio device, which should be a mix of your Mic, and the processed guitar from FL.

cosmic roost
#

lemme try

#

Whats B2 tho

#

cuz i don't see any of that

next ibex
cosmic roost
#

Oh lord yeh

#

im blind af

#

sryy x)

#

In FL the only asio thing that works is still minifuse asio driver

next ibex
#

What do you mean by this? What does "works" mean here?

cosmic roost
#

I mean that this is the only asio thing that makes sound when i play

#

and the sound goes directly to my hearphones

next ibex
#

Do you see the signal bouncing in voicemeeter?

cosmic roost
#

I don't

#

update i do but a little bit like sooner

next ibex
#

If there's significant delay/latency, you may have to restart the VM audio engine.
Also ensure you're using the ASIO output, not the WDM/similar.

#

I had some delay at first, but switching from WDM to MME and back fixed it on my end

cosmic roost
#

Am i doing great ?

next ibex
#

Thhat looks right here.

cosmic roost
#

yeh thats why idk what im doing wrong

next ibex
#

Did you try the restart?
Did you try the MME thing for the inputs?

cosmic roost
#

idk if it'll help but i have a program call RSmods installed (a thing for rocksmith)

cosmic roost
#

i've been struggling for days so i restarted a lot

next ibex
#

How does your loopback work on your interface?
Do you have much control over it? (is the volume down for that device in windows?)

#

Since your interface offers loopback, I'd 100% recommend going that route instead of Voicemeeter.

cosmic roost
#

can you explain what is the loopback plz

#

Cuz my current audio interface setup look like this (ima draw it 2s)

#

front

#

(blue = led turned on)

next ibex
#

In FL Studio, when using your Minifuse driver, what outputs do you have?

cosmic roost
next ibex
#

In the windows audio settings, pull up that input device.

cosmic roost
next ibex
#

Double check the volume seen here

cosmic roost
#

they are 100% both

next ibex
#

When you play audio through them (in FL) do the levels look the same?

cosmic roost
#

None of them does anything

#

like if im playing Nobody mooves

next ibex
#

The mic should show activity on the loopback channel at least.

cosmic roost
next ibex
#

You're on the output side of things, look at the input

cosmic roost
#

my microphone does move when i speak

next ibex
cosmic roost
#

(i played so u can see the sound in fl but not on windows

next ibex
#

Hmm. That's cursed. The interface should be sending data from FL, through loopback, and it should show as activity on that page.

cosmic roost
#

yep

#

it's weird and idk whats causing this issue

#

OMG. look at this one

next ibex
#

Tada, that's the issue

cosmic roost
#

im cracking up if everything works

#

wtf moved it

#

I think it is working

#

IT IS

next ibex
#

The windows device was set to a low level, so your original voicemeeter setup should be as it was.
However, I still think you should use your loopback for this.

cosmic roost
#

Like we say in france CHAMPAGNE !!!

cosmic roost
next ibex
#

If it works, it works.

cosmic roost
#

Thank you so much for your time

next ibex
#

No problem.
