yeah im not really good at the 808's
off key? could you elaborate
like the piano is like c major or what and the 808's are not thats what u mean yeah?
First off, did you tune your 808's?
ammm
listen im sorry i dont really know what that means
i hate making 808s
i try
but it aint good
Can you send the 808 you are using in the song?
Ok so it should be tuned then
i once tried downloading one and using it but when i didint play it at c it sounded teally awful
so from that point on i only use flex
(mainly cuz idk any other 808 vsts)
Yeah that's probably the tuning problem, a lot of the 808 samples you can download are not tuned to C
im not that good at fl studio so for now i stick with the basics
Im ashamed to admit that i only today learned how to use the mixer channels
but hey another step forward
does it sound mixed well?
The mixing is actually pretty good!
Thank you thank you
The bass just doesn't work melody wise or mixing wise.
The key of the song seems to be Bb
ahh ill try to improve it tommorow its late for me now. Do you know how can i improve it?
how do you know
I used my ears and FL keys for reference
damn
you have a nice ear
that soudned weird but
you get what i mean
i couldnt tell that no way
Bb minor actually
It's just experience!
So have you made the 808 melody in C major?
yeah basically
the notes are
c; b; d; c; b; a;c; d. and a bunch of slide notes but the slide notes are a pain in the ass to get right
but yeah basically the c scale
The first bass note seems to be G?
What preset did you use in flex?
ohhh waittt
i pitched it down -500 cents
yeah
you were right
808 BOOSTED
thats the one i used
the pitching down changes the note yeah?
idk what pitching down does theoretically i know that it makes things sound better when used
Yes it does. If you pitched it down 500cents (which is 5 semitones) your bass is not in C after that, it's in G as I said
But why is it not the same as playing the note in g
Because G is a different note than C
Different notes are basically just different pitches
If you adjust a pitch of a note that was originally C, it's not going to be C anymore
No i mean why is playing c with -5 semitones different than playing g
Ill come back tomorrow in like 12 hours and tey to fix the 808's thank you
Doesnt sound like it
Ok let me know then
There could be multiple things that causes it not to not work that way. But factually in music theory C transposed down 5 semitones will be G
sounds better even to me
add some jersey beat on it and you gonna get me havin an ear orgasam
jersey beat?
i think that last word was misspelled

thank you ig? i dont understand what youre trying to say
It's definitely better but there are still notes in the 808 melody that are off key
Check that the notes are in Bb minor scale
The other elements are in minor
yeah thank youuu
can you give feedback on this beat also?
i was really proud of this one when i made it
its not finished but
i mean i wont add anything its just missing the arrangment
wait no i found it with arrangment
It has the same problem, the 808's are off key
whats the key in this one?
i sampled the guitar from some random 80's spanish song
70's*
In your beat it's D#m but it's like 40 semitones flat
ok? thanks i will try
changed the notes to be in the D# scale
ok now
i dont understand how you can get the note let alone of the 808's
Do you mean how do I know the first one "should" be D#
