Ok so as it turns out the reason it kept crashing was because I had this project in a folder INSIDE of the projects folder, and once I removed it OTT functioned fine

That's probaby why you're experiencing crashes, the user manual says not to do that. CTRL + F for "iCLoud" on https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning/fl-studio-online-manual/html/envsettings_files.htm

Still OTT. The strange thing is the crash doesn't happen if I put it in insert_2 on my project, but everywhere else it does

FINALLY found the source of the problem

#

I had to turn on "Run using Rosetta" as I have a silicon and my old computer used rosetta
