How are you loading SoundFont Player (The lack of 'Fruity' is actually important believe it or not)? Are you creating an instance first then loading the soundfont in, or are you just dragging the soundfont into the channel rack?

Yeah I'd try using the + to add SoundFont Player manually, then loading in the soundfont from there instead
