OMG so good
uh feels a bit empty
guitar tone is AMAZING
drums are so clean its insane
👏
True, I haven't gotten to the chords yet in the guitar section as I'm still debating how I'm going to do it. I really wanna make it feel like an anime OP. I even made that weird cut that some openings have. The drums are called Shreddage drums and I'm using them on power comp mode. I'm also planning to sing over the track or have someone sing for me to fill it up
Also thank you!
Anime character theme style = excellence
it does really sound like an anime opening, its sick
Let's crash the party ... as an alternative rock/metal fan with own doings ... well, I dislike the guitar sound. It's more K-Pop, isn't it?! 😄 The lead guitar (no vocals present, so who leads your song? ^^) sounds permanently like thru phone (eq setting) and typical small distortions and feedback of the guitar is completly missing. Absolutely too clean and synth-alike, but this is my personal opinion ... let's do more "post-grunge" into it - a bit more dirt would take the right direction into the named genre ... have fun!
I absolutely adore this critique! Thank you! And yes, it is more like K-pop. Is just that I head some people call it alt rock so i thought it was the same, but I just checked and they sound completely different. As for the lead singer, I was planning on using something like vocaloid or cevio. I'm still thinking about it to be honest, but once I'm done with the rest of the track I'll clean up the track for the vocals. What you mentioned about the guitar is very interesting as now that you mention it, I kinda see what you mean. I'll try and check the eq to check what's going on with that. I don't have that much experience with real guitars so I don't know if that's an issue with the mixing, piano roll, or the vst. I'll try my best to check what's going on with that. I'll check out more alt metal as well for more inspiration as to how I'm going to go about the track. Again, thank you for your critique, it's been a real pleasure! 👌
Also check out Synth V from Dreamtonics - https://dreamtonics.com/synthesizerv/
From what I understand it's like Vocaloid but far better in terms of vocal quality
that sounds awesome! I'll check out the free version soon!
After a little bit roasting - keep growing, doing, searching, trying, laughing and so on! -, I'd tried my typical vst stuff that I use for my "real world" guitars. Instead of using them, I used the piano roll ... little bit weird, but sounds solid in some cases. I send a clean (!) "guitar sound" of one of FL's synths into my regular e-guitar effect chain and tried this and that. Playing power chords was weird - because of the keyboard. 😄 I used different plugins with different results. Important is a clean sound - if you know how an e-guitar sounds without any stuff, you know what you are searching as basic tone. IMO you will get better results if you don't think about a guitar sound as a synth, even more with a synth like a guitar player (and what happens after insert). BUT - don't get me wrong: the results are much better with a real guitar. 😉 (no one expected this, right?? :D)
Holy ... this is devil's work! 😄 I heard some examples on YT right now ... not bad! Do they own a voice for growling? 😄
Thank you, and sorry for responding too late 😭 I'm sadly very occupied with life. However, I do have to say I have no real experiences with guitars but I'm thinking about taking guitar classes so time near the future! I'll take what you said in mind about having a clean guitar and to not think of a guitar a synth to great consideration. Thank you again for your amazing response, I'm looking forward to talking to you again once I get to it! It might take a bit of a while because I'm going to be very occupied this month, but I'll try to my best of my ability to accomplish an improvement on my work!
