#clone vst in new pattern without changing first vst preset

This works for all VST plugins.
Otherwise, you can save presets from the wrapper to keep track of your favourites.
@sweet summit i'm not sure if that is what i mean. i have a pattern with leads and chords and i just want to go to pattern 2 with same leads and chords and the same plugins. but when i change something in pattern 2 it has to do it only in pattern 2 not in pattern 1. i hope you understand me. kind regards.
you might want to set parent and child channels
maybe not, trying to figure out what you're wanting still lol
you want to bookmark favourite presets?
you can use this feature to duplicate a pattern, edit the midi, and not effect the original midi
parent and child is a good start but then you still have to add other plugins again and again
alright so explain it like im a child again
you just want to audition presets without losing the original preset, or you want to try different midi notes without losing the original midi?
i'm sorry that i can't explain it well
nah its alright, we will get there lol
when you have a lets say serum you pick a presets put in the notes listen and think thats nice. you want to keep it. then you go to pattern 2 same notes same plugin but when you change the preset it also changes at pattern 1
and that is what i don't want.
is that the only solution ?
or you can print serum 1 to audio and keep it, and then change the preset on serum 1 in to something else
if you're making a track, you're going to have lots of synths doing things
allright then ill just add new ones, i thought it whas possible to just make a channel rack unique or something like that
if you're just doing some sound design and wanting to make samples to use in tracks later, you can just use 1 serum or any synth
no i'm indeed trying to make a track
no sadly not, think of the channel rack as your selection of characters for your book, and the patterns are pages of the book, you can turn the pages but the characters are going to be the same, unless you swap them out, if that makes sense
yes that makes sense, good explanation btw.
you're welcome, glad to have helped
