Turn down the release of the active oscillators.
OR, if it has a reverb active, turn down the reverb decay.
situated here if you weren't sure
I tried this and it still keeps goingm, what do i change
im very new to all this, what does this mean exactly?
Envelopes are a setting in synths that tell the synthesizer how the volume should move. In sytrus, each oscillator has a volume envelope to control how it should move.
An active oscillator is one that is being outputted that you actually here, as due to the fact the sytrus is an FM synth, not all of the oscillators will probably be outputting audio but used as modulators
This is not an easy thing to explain to an absolute beginner, I don't recommend Sytrus as a beginner synth unless you're familiar with how synths work
That, or you have effects turned on in the Sytrus that's creating delay or reverb
oh i see
whats a synth that sounds similar to this, without the reverb ofc
oops
mp4
Just turn the orange effects knob off on the right of the matrix and it mutes the reverb
i tried that but theres still a sound that lingers
Screenshot your sytrus
I don't think the problem is with sytrus, do you have reverb on your mixer?
On what insert?
Can you show osc 1s envelope please
Ok actually, I think issue is that you DONT have an envelope in the Sytrus patch, so when you trigger the synth it just plays
Go into sytrus
Click Osc 1
In the window at the bottom click ENV
Click VOL
Enable this with the bubble in the bottom left corner of the envelope
Do this same thing with 2 as that one is also being outputted
Op1 yes sorry
it works!!
thank you so mcuh
ill try to use an easier synth after this until i learn more
i rly appreciate it :)
With the volume envelope you can adjust how the sound moves, whether it's a quick short sound or longer
