#Sampling help
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
You'll need to post a sample of the audio, and a screenshot of your playlist and piano roll.
this is the sample im using (beginning drum part only)
im cutting it out with the edison
but then
i have a piano loop
that piano loop sounds hella offbeat
the song is set to 87 bpm
i time stretched it and still sounds like shit
oh
ill send it to u in 20 mins
hold on cuz i gotta do something
quick question
do u have serum @blissful palm
or xpand 2
or rc 20
or serato
i just said a handful
No. I only use stock plugins.
oh ok
serum and harmor are kind of a like... in a way
do you know how to create a supersaw
or choir pads
Wow is it really you !!!!!!
what was the problem here again ?
@cursive sphinx
ight so like
I have a drum sample I want to incorperate with my beat, I got the tempo right, but it sounds very offbeat with my pianos
idk if i messed up with the pianos
im trying to recreate a song
have you time stretched any thing and are your samples in the correct bpm to begin with ?
drum sample is 173 which is what the song is set to
and i did not time stretch anything
and the pianos are correct time, they are just late on the beat?
i feel like it's late on the beat 😭
have you tried sliding them forward?
idk how to get it ont ime
are the pianos in midi or wav ?
have you checked the ATTACK rate on the plugin ?
if the pianos are how you want them to sound
print them to audio ?
then line it up ?
wdym
well your pianos are coming from a VST reading midi notes right?
my pianos coming from keyscape and im using a midi keyboard
it turns your plug in and midi information into a sample like your .wav file drum loop
its alright its not complicated when you know
try this
on your piano
mhm
you wont lose any thing
yeah
if your piano work is 100%
consolidate it to audio
then align the audio to your drums
once it clicks it seems so easy
whats the basic parameters
but compression is a mind fuck before you understand it
yeah i know what it does but
well, you know low/mid/high
dont know how to get around
ye freq spectrum
yeah you basically control the compression curve for each band
im making hiphop how can u use compression on a beat
compression is used every where on most things
mhm
it might be easier to just use 1 compressor per instrument to begin with
the FL compressor
let me pull up some tutorials for you
nah i wanna shoot straight to multiband
i have fabfilter pro q 3
😭
i wasted tons of money
its multiband comp/eq right

In this video, I show you how to approach the Maximus plugin. This is an advanced plugin in FL Studio and I would highly recommend watching my other videos to learn Compression, Limiting and Mastering before you use this video.

In video one of this Maximus tutorial in FL Studio 21, we briefly go over what Maximus is, it's various uses such as Mastering, Compression, Limiting, Gating, and Expansion. Maximus is a great tool for mastering and in this series you will learn how to use Maximus effectivly within your sessions.

In video two of this Maximus tutorial in FL Studio 21, we talk about one of the most important aspects of Maximus, and that is the compression graph. Maximus doesn't come with Ratio or Threshold knobs, but rather the compression graph is used for much more precise editing.
In the compression graph we can dial in Compression, Limiting, Gating, an...
In video three of this Maximus tutorial in FL Studio 21, we talk about the Pre and Post Gain knobs and how they effect our signal in vary different ways and why we should use one over the other in different situations.
We also cover the Saturation knobs in Maximus and why/when we should use Saturation to make our signal a bit more interesting.
thanks
not an EQ, no
and FF pro-q3 is still worth the money
yeah
its really good
@cursive sphinx should i start using fruity convolver iheard its rlly good
all the tools you have inside FL are very competent, but ultimately what really makes any thing good, is your ability with it, and the amount of time you spend using it
convolver is a really good reverb, luxeverb is also very good too
but they can still sound like trash if you dont know what you're doing with them or using them for the wrong things at the wrong time
its like if you have the phattest kick and the crispest snare but you are totally ass at making beats, the samples are wasted lol
yo bro i was wondering
have any idea on making phatass distorted 808s
yeah i got a million
google bark of the dog vst
or use fl blood over drive
there's a lot of distortion and saturation plugins for free
yes#
thats reverb
it is
that's good in its own thing but not for 808 distortions
you can get guitar rig for free
its good for 808 dist?
they're distortions
thought it was a bass distorter
how you use them matters
there's a bit of audio engineering science behind it
but its not that deep
yes
people do it all the time
sound selection is on you fam
yes boss
it takes a while to refine your tastes and ears
what genre u make
uk drill
oh i see
since u make uk drill
u got good drum kits
i only have lex luger and bwb
i heard uk drill got good kics and clap
you can get plenty of free kits easily online
from where most r viruses
people promote free packs on youtube all day all long
if you want a standard that most people will probably have go on jay cactus youtube and find his free kits
dude i got one of those free sample packs and it was a virus 😭
no virus
peak
nah i dont use serum
oh
i'm old, i have MASSIVE
ty
