I went to the Chicago concert last year with a friend and we got there a little later than most since the parking lot wouldn’t open until I think around an hour before doors opened

The rain was terrible but I had a huge golf umbrella to share with her and we tried to get others under it if we could

so I just realized that I've never actually stood in line for anything [and i mean anything] for longer than an hour and I'm planning on getting there at 4 or 5ish. Anybody have advice for a first time long-long-stander like me?

I work in a warehouse and definitely reccomend taking ibuprofen or some pain killers beforehand so it helps your muscles not hurt as much. Good shoes help a lot too! Stretching in line from time to time and sitting down when you can for sure!

Your body will naturally ache if you aren't used to standing up for long hours but it becomes less noticeable if you aren't focusing too much on it! I still take pain killers even 2 months working at a warehouse since I'm not really good at stretching before my shift

Definitely don't dehydrate yourself beforehand as well!

I would suggest maybe being towards the back jot the best view or see if they will allow you to stand in the Ada section? My mini had anxiety but I am able to kinda stand behind her to give her room so she don’t feel trapped. Just remember to breathe I know that easy to say but I know it seems to help her a lot.

Don’t worry it’s easy to find luckily right off an exit of a major highway, with a parking garage across the street and other parking near by. The door is visible from the road (Neil Ave to be exact) and it’s like a small concert venue open floor plan and a second floor with some seats. Has a bar for drinks of all varieties.
