I wanted to try mu luck. I'm still working on creating a profile for it...
Thanks for reply anyway...
can you explain, how to calibrate the filament ? wich steps are first and so on ? of
so my question is, when i use generic petg profile, where i start to calibrate ? so is this the printing speed in the profile or calibrate first the filament setting aka k factor or flow etc ?
How to start with new filament and where to start ?
so i have now the polymaker polylite PETG black and print with 230 ° and 70 bed , so this is okay at this moment, but i have issues with the layer . one side looks okay, but the other side is very bad please see my pictures
anybody have a polylite PETG profile for Creality printers using Prusaslicer?
I think I just purchased some in gold and I will print a test bar and come up with a basic couple of settings that need to change… I’ll let you know
Disclaimer : I'm a beginner at 3d printing 🙂
These settings work fine for me so far for PolyMaker PETG on Elegoo Centauri Carbon after solid drying of the filament. Lower temps (also mostly tried before drying, the roll might've been old from EU supplier) caused issues, some of which looked like yours @forest iron .
I do have to increase the "elephant foot compensation" with these higher temps though, but the rest looks great (getting good imprints from the textured sheets).
I would recommend printing a temperature tower starting at higher temps than one might initially think for PETG (at least on ECC that's what helped me get better prints, even the Elegoo filament liked being run a bit hotter for me)
Highly recomment this : https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/wiki/Calibration
thanks for your answer, i print temp tower
so for my opinion is 230° enough to print
Why would you go to 230 when 225 clearly came out better?
