Hello <@&1122587817768398938>.

I just calibrated a new extruder and im trying to make sure everything else is calibrated nicely. I ended up getting this print and I don't know what I would need to better rune. any ideas?
Printed in PLA from overture
Current settings:
temp: 193
fan: 100%
(next two (im using a .6mm nozzle))
layer height: .3
line width: .6
walls: 3
minimum layer time: 10s
retraction distance 6mm (bowden style printer)
retraction speed: 30mm/s (had some issues previously with going faster (forgot the actual issue that came with it but it went away when i slowed retraction speed))
no supports

If you have any questions please lmk.

(I will send photos of the model after this and what a ss of the stl)

the top looks kinda melty so far i see cooling issues? not sure

#

thats the one that sticks out to me at least

#

not sure how to improve that tho as ur at 100% fan

#

without changing hardware

#

what printer is this?

i think charring just happens as a result of cooling but can't be sure. the overhangs mightve curled up and just been in contact with the nozzle for too long or smth

#

wait what if you try reducing the retraction length

#

because also with long retractions, the nozzle stays in the same location if it has nowhere to move

#

at least thats how it was when i tried printing TPU on my prusa with small parts

yeah i think you can go on printables and search up retraction test
