I just installed a new extruder on my printer and ran a PETG print. I had a problem with not pulling out the filament so i took the extruder apart and found this while taking it apart. any ideas of how to clean this and make sure it doesn't happen again? <@&1122587817768398938>

unlikely

get it warm and use an allen key or something to get the gunk off, tightening will need to be done hot

# bold kelp Ah, very cool! I hope it goes splendidly!

Something else you can do if the parts are still disassembled is to secure them and use a heat gun to soften up the plastic and wipe it off/pick off with tweezers. You need to be careful since you are working with hot metal, so take all the precautions you can. This can also be done while your hot end is still in the grips of the blob of death, but you run the risk of softening the parts around the extruder.
