We recently encountered an issue with parts failing that were attached to aluminum bars that were tapped using Tap Magic cutting fluid. Other locations on our product are not experiencing the same failure. We noticed something similar with injection molded ABS parts, but assumed that it was temperature fluctuations combined with, maybe, excessive torque on the part.
We feel it was caused by an excessive amount to tapping fluid used which, remained in the aluminum bar (unable to wash the part) which slowly softened our printed ASA parts. Other locations with the same machining are not failing.

If attaching ASA or ABS parts to machined metal make sure you use limited machining fluids or wash your machined parts thoroughly before attaching your printed parts.

Not sure.

We really feel it was due to excess cutting fluid. Other locations tapped the same, just not saturated with cutting fluid, are not failing.
