I have two of these. I am trying to get the best one working first. It just clicks when trying to load filament so I am guessing right now that there is a clog in the extruder and/or not enough tension on the filament. I have three accessory kits for parts and will replace the hotend. Everything is now disassembled down to seeing the extruder motor. I have not yet done more than that.

I need some help.

Often times, there is filament caught in the gear or just underneath the gear. You have to take the whole assembly apart, which is a pain, and it's often just a tiny bit of filament or dust.

I use a little paintbrush and also poke around. If it's apart, can you take a picture so I can show you where to look?

I will finish disassembling it when I am feeling better.

Odin B has a broken cable connector on the X-axis. I do not know if that can be easily fixed.

. @serene moon @violet basin Here are a couple of pictures of printer A, the one I am working on now. It will not load filament at all but thinks it did according to the display. I can not get a video because nothing is happening.

You need to take that panel off, and check the gear

Yup @violet basin is right gotta start stripping it down make sure to get a bowl for parts

Oh, OK, I see what you mean. I thought that was part of the extruder motor. I have all the parts in a container. 😉

Big thing -- remember what screws are what.

But yeah, take that piece off... and beware of flying yellow springs. They are the devil

But I did this so many times with my old Fokoos, I could do it with my eyes closed and my hand tied behind my back

So when you take that off, the spring may pop out... it's "fun" to put it back in, but it does go back in. There is usually debris around the gear, and under it. Silks and even little fragments of filament love to get in the gears and underneath the little crevices. But once you fix that, it SHOULD be okay. If it's not, take the part from the other printer.

@serene moon @violet basin A tiny bit of filament just past the extruder gear is blocking the filament from going any further. After I remove that, I can reassemble it and try loading the filament again. 😄

I think I have removed the clog! Now, I have to find the cover that goes over the extruder gears. I seem to have misplaced it. 😦

@serene moon @violet basin I have the cover and am trying to put it back on but I think that little circuit board is not aligned correctly at the top and I do not know what to do. I do not want to break something. I would really like to finish this tonight but am not sure that can happen.

You might have something just out of place and it’s like a Tetris All gotta fit nice n nest lol

Ok first blow as much of the filament bits out of the extruder as you can in a few blows lol

Alright. It does take M3 screws, right, to attach it?

Then try and tip the lid in from top to bottom so set the pcb in the grove a lol and lever to the bottom

That make sense

It should sit sit over it with out screws

So from where the pcb is at the top angle that in first and try and hook it over the case

I tried that already. I can not get the left side to snug up.
I may have borked the threads inside. 😦

So can you get it to fit tight over without the screws?

Like just holding it down?

No, it will just not fit.

The right side snugs up perfectly, but the left side is quite the contrary. 😦

You will be surprised how tight it can be

I understand how tight these things have to fit. I have tried wiggling it every which way I can, but that right side just will not cooperate.

I still think I stripped the threads inside on the right side.

I can not do anymore work on this tonight. My brain wants to work on something else.

I always forget where the screws go on mine, some of them are deeper than others and it’s enough to drive you crazy. It will come together when you have patience.

That is not what I am having trouble with. I can not get the cover on the extruder to sit flush on both sides. The left side is the problem. I am using the longest screws I have - M3x20.

No the placement of the bolt Sizes too! The shorter ones go in the carriage and the longer in the housing . You show me exactly what is giving you the issue. I know it’s getting the lid on but break it down step for steps

The placement of the screws is correct, but they might be too long. I had to replace them because they fell on the floor.

The left side of the extruder cover will not fit flush to the extruder.

I think I do not have M3 screws long enough to replace the missing ones on my printer. 😦 I have up to 20mm long screws and I think the stock ones must be longer than that. The original screws are here somewhere but I do not know where at this time. 😦
