As the title says, does anyone know the best method to take a logo, convert to STL that will allow me to paint the logo in the slicer(bambu) so I can print logos with the AMS?

#

Any help is greatly appreciated

I used a similar guide previously, though I don't remember the specifics

Done plently of converting but when I convert it doesn't capture the logo properly so I can paint it in bambuslicer, it jsut shows as a block essentially

#

To add: I also want it to be flat on the bed so the logo is smooth but multicolored. Not just have the logo raised.

#

I'll use this logo as an example.. I want to be able to have a flat stl that will allow me to paint the black part black but "empty space" white. When you do a standard coversion it just creates a void in the non black areas.

Maybe using Cookie cad?
They have a software to convert images into cookie cutters, I guess its doing the same things as you are looking for.

No luck with CookieCad. It still has the "void" area.

What if you use this image?

So I was able to figure it out. The first svg I converted was corrupt. So I did these steps.

  1. PNG to SVG using pngtosvg.com
  2. Import in Tinkercad and export as stl
  3. Import in bambuslicer
  4. Paint in slicer and SEND IT!

PS: Also make sure when you convert it is only using 2 colors

so many steps..

I use the image tracer tool in adobe illustrator, but that’s only because I get it for free from my school, so if you don’t have it it’s not worth it.

#

You can export that to a dxf, and throw it into a cad software

Path -> 'trace bitmap..' in Inkscape will do it for free. Pretty decent tool.

So this is definitely the longer way, but I would import the .svg into a cadd software like F360 for example, and make it
